Nikhil Khasnabish wrote about Assam Movement that virtually started, following the sixteen-point charter of demands, framed at Jorhat in July 1978 by AASU (All Assam Student Union).

He depicted the movement’s pros and cons with a focus on its success and failure.

He witnessed Assam Movement from closeness. The biased and unbiased incidents of Assam Movement pained him much. So, to share the pain that is historical though apparently regional, he wrote about Assam Movement and its consequences.

He concentrates on Assam to bring its unwritten history to national and international attention.
